Me and Babs: a goat who paid a visit to NYPR.

My name is Mary and I live/work in New York City. I currently work at New York Public Library (NYPL) in the Special Collections Department as their Systems and Operations Coordinator. I also serve as Project Lead for a Mellon-funded preservation grant, Preserve this Podcast!, targeted towards teaching archival skills to independent producers.

In 2015, I was a National Digital Stewardship Resident at New York Public Radio (NYPR). This fellowship led to my involvement with XFR Collective (pronounced “Transfer Collective”), a non-profit organization that provides low-cost audio/visual transfer services, curates screenings, and teaches workshops.

I have a background in illustration and web/graphic design, which I occasionally wield to create things like educational zines.
